Snowmaggedon {part 2} | Columbia, SC Photographer

Last week we enjoyed several days full of snow fun…. and some ice skating too (not really)! ;) This snow was much more significant than our last one. This three day storm started with snow and ended with snow, but was filled with a lot of freezing rain, sleet, and ice in between. It made going outside quite the challenge, since you basically slid from one place to another, instead of being able to walk. But we tried to make the best of it by doing some road sledding, having a few snowball fights, making snow angels, and just enjoying the beauty of it all.

I only ventured out once with my camera when we took a walk down the street with our favorite neighbors. Even though the ice caused a ton of damage and power outages (fortunately not in our area), it sure is beautiful. Maybe it's just because we're not used to seeing so much white around these parts.

I was a little obsessed with these red berries. The perfect pop of color. :)

As you can see in the above photo - Lily did not want her photo taken. Ha ha!! Stubborn little thing…

If I weren't trapped at home in this crazy weather, I would have LOVED to have done a snow session at the farm

There's an old wives tale that says if the snow stays on the ground for 3 days or more, then it will snow again. We STILL have snow on the ground at my house 4 days later.

Don't pack up your snow boots - or in our case, rain boots - just yet!

Love,

Claire
